Adeline Carpenter
Of Stockbridge, Mi.

Age 92, passed away Thursday morning July 14, 2005 at the Stockbridge Country Manor. She was born on November 22, 1912 in Magoffin County, Kentucky the daughter of Joseph and Maggie (Manuel) West. Adeline had lived in the area since 1939. A devoted housewife who enjoyed sewing embroidering and cooking for everybody. Surviving are 6 children, Carl Carpenter of Maine, Edsel Carpenter of Chelsea, Jo Anne Arnett of Chelsea, Jack Carpenter of Jacksonville, FL. Judy (John) Jedele of Ann Arbor, and Janet Carpenter of Chelsea. 3 sisters, Susie West of Stockbridge, Frances (Dick) Bauer and Phoebe Turner all of Chelsea. 13 grandchildren 29 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellis L. Carpenter, 2 sons, Kelly and Arnold Carpenter, 4 brothers, Clarence, Leo, Harold, and Edward West 1`sister, Molly. Also two infant children. Funeral services will be Saturday July 16, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. from the Caskey-Mitchell Funeral Home, Stockbridge with Parson Billy Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy can be made to Stockbridge Country Manor, or Great Lakes Hospice. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 2-5 and 7-9 P.M.
